Like Real People Do

The rain beats against my small frame as I grip the handle of the shovel, trying not to lose my grip as I dig. They can't find this, not ever, I won't let them.I continue to dig, almost losing my balance as a strong gust of wind almost knocks me over.

"Come on, just a little more."

Just as I finally get deep enough when I plant my shovel into the ground instead more mud it pings off of something.

"What the..."

I crouch down and wipe a bit of mud away from the bottom of the hole I dug.
