In 2006, she almost died from a shark attack off the south side of Honalulu. Her friends swam to shore to call for help, leaving her to fend for herself. She ended up on an island not many people know about, with an old surfing legend as her caretaker. And nine, almost ten years later, she's competing in the Hawaiian Island regionals with three others from the island she ended up on.
But the weird thing is, she doesn't remember who she was before she ended up on the island, only the nightmares that plague her at night, and the memories of blurry faces and muffled screams.
She knows that she's from Honalulu, but over the past years, never found the will to go back and face what was left behind. Especially not the family who thinks shes dead. Or the pack of werewolves that think they own the place.
