Curse the dragons.

Acacia's newly discovered Black Mark has taken so much from her already. Her brother. Her relationship with her mother. Kane.

All she wants is a normal life and to be left alone. Yet, she finds herself unwillingly in the midst of a Prophecy. A Prophecy that identifies her as one who will help bring back the dragons, remove the tyrant king from the throne, and restore peace to her world. A Prophecy whose one gift to her is a Black Mark-The Sole Black Mark-that allows her to control the four elements.

A Prophecy she wants no part in.

But when the prince attacks her village, forcing her to leave everything behind, Acacia must decide what is worth fighting for.

A retelling of the Hades and Persephone myth, a story of fate, the struggle for power, and love found in the most unexpected places. ***** Persephone has been raised in Olympus all her life - her mother absent, her father a cruel king, with her siblings teaching her all they know. She has seen all of what the gods and goddesses do and she is sick of it. When she learns her safety is threatened by staying in Olympus, she flees to the Underworld. There she stays until she learns that her leaving has caused the world to wilt. But leaving behind her newfound friends and Lady of the Underworld is something she will not do willingly, no matter the consequences.
