Rumor's Battle

"Coming in on the close-up to your right. Look out!" the main operator yells.

I duck just in time to miss my opponent's spiraling hammer, quickly reloading my bow with a titanium silver arrow from the quiver on my back. With limited time to aim, I shoot the arrow right in between his eyes.

"Bullseye," one of the operators whispers. He carefully watches the man disintegrate into pixels, then vanish into thin air.

"I'm getting better at this right?" I call up to one of them, out of breath.

"Sure..." he responds, playing with buttons. Of course he's lying because he made no effort to even look in my general direction.

"Hey shortie. Looks like you're not as good as you think," a boy calls out from across the room.

"Wow. I'm at a higher level than you and also 2 inches taller. Looks who's the shortie now," I smirk, placing my bow on the rack to leave the battleground.
