In this world, there are some people who get their happily ever afters and others who don't. Those who get their magical fairytale romance, cherish it for as long as it lasts while the others never get to enjoy the wonders of a fairytale. Instead, they are forced to stay inside their hopeless reality and grow old thinking about what they did to deserve never getting their once upon a time. I think those are the ones who wanted it bad enough. They craved a fairytale more than life itself. Devoted their lives to Disney movies and romance books just to be let down by the real world. Once upon a time... That's how all the fairytales begin, right? There's a girl who's mistreated and misunderstood. She meets a guy--probably the most popular guy in school (and hey, why not make him British while we're at it?). He's most likely very handsome and just as rich, and magically seems to understand her. It feels like they've known each other forever when in fact they've actually just met. It's love at first sight, the guy saves the girl from whatever misery she's in, they meet only two or three problems along the way, and then it's happily ever after. But this isn't a fairytale. Previous to Ever After
Does every story end in a Happily Ever After? Let me just start off by saying that when you're a princess, no one ever actually asks you if you wan't to be a princess. You just are. Which sucks. There are rules. A lot of rules. Always look your best. Always stand up straight. Never walk flat footed. Always be polite. And never, under any circumstances, use sarcasm. Mother added that last rule after I learned to speak. This was the life I, Genevieve Rosemary Rochester of Chestwood was living. At least, I was until my father grew very, very ill and I was sent on a quest, with some boy I barely knew, clear across the land by my Fairy Godmother to locate ingredients for a potion to heal him. And yes, I have a Fairy Godmother, but more on that later. So, one shaving of a unicorn's horn. One chip from the troll's bridge. And one drop of dragon's blood. All to be mixed by the land's one and only wizard. Oh, and did I mention I had to be back with the potion before midnight in three days? And so, I began my journey with no one but William Porter, a boy whom I had just met, even though I was already betrothed to a jerk of a prince, and my trusty steed, Wesley, who was the closest thing I've ever had to a friend. CURRENTLY EDITING Most fairytales start with Once upon a time... and well, this one too, although this might not seem like your typical fairytale... So, once upon a time there lived a young girl in a big kingdom. Well, she didn't actually live in the kingdom, but on an island by the kingdom. This island was more like a prison where all people were banned who were a threat to the kingdom. This girl isn't one of them, but she's the daughter of one of those people. She grew up imprisoned on that island with her friends, Jay, Caros and Evie and honestly, they didn't think it was too bad. But that could also be because they didn't know any better. They'd watch tv and see Auradon, the place where princes and princesses grew up, where heroes were living their best lives, where kids were happily playing in the sun, where people had proper education and had jobs that actually mattered. But for as far as Mal and her friends cared, life on the Isle was good enough for them and they were just going with it, until one day everything changed. They got invited to Auradon by soon to be king Benjamin. It was difficult to change into that lifestyle, but the four vk's hadn't even really come to Auradon to do that. They had been commissioned by their parents to find Fairy Godmother's wand and free the Isle of the Lost, so they could take over the kingdom. They had a plan to steal that wand during the coronation of prince Ben, but during the time in between arriving in Auradon and the coronation, Mal found herself falling in love with the prince. Not only did she fall in love with him, the four vk's fell in love with the kingdom and realized that living there wasn't such a bad idea. Maleficent on the other hand didn't let go that easily and tried to fight them, but together they defeated her and got her turned into a tiny green lizard. And so it all ended well, you'd say. But this was not the end of the story, no, there's much more to come...
The Bad Boy Saved Me
Do you ever wonder what life would be like if it were a movie? Or some sappy romance novel that you wish your life could be like but it's not? Sometimes you may even get to caught up in the fictional world that you don't realise it IS fictional. Then when you do realise life isn't what you convinced yourself it would be, there is only one possible outcome. Depression. Which may lead to anxiety, self-harm, low self esteem, and worst of all, losing the people you love. Life works in weird ways. Not just for you but for others too. Take Cassidy Rivers for example.
