A teen in her later years is taken from her broken home. She goes off, thousands of miles away, overseas to live with distant relatives. Winding up in a British private school, it is the only place where it felt that she would not receive harassment. Through therapy and class work, the hopeful young woman makes a group of friends who change her life, and a boy who defrosts her emotions of happiness and love-two feelings she thought were lost in the past.

2027. San Francisco is in shambles after a devastating asteroid strike that obliterated most of the United States, leaving only several cities along the West Coast intact. Enter Hope, a sheltered sixteen year-old girl struggling to keep her five year-old sister safe from the Child Act, a law put in place by diabolical San Francisco mayor, Matthias Koch. The idea? Keep San Francisco "unpolluted." Free of outside survivors. How? Children. Ages 5-14. It's 2027. And this is their reality. *** A/N: Updates will be sporadic but will be in bursts of three chapters! I have the story completely written but there are some edits I still need to do. Please COMMENT, VOTE, and SHARE. Any type of feedback (even negative) is appreciated :) COVER CREDS TO Echo_Submit :)
