Head Rush

This was my English Short Story assignment, which had to be in the theme of speculative fiction, so I thought that killjoys would be the only fitting thing! I've incorporated the general idea of killjoys, plus a possibility if they were caught. Here is the general storyline:

A killjoy girl and her partner, Kobra Poison (yes, I mixed the names), are fighting of "soldiers" called Ghosters and the girl is captured. She is then taken to a lab where she is cared for by Dr Biersack, who's entire job is to punish rebels if they were caught. In this case, she would be a lab rat, taking in any serum or pill she was given. Her last intake would be of digitoxin, a fatal chemical that might lead to her death... Will she make it out alive?
