Years ago, Dr. Terrance Goodman worked on a project for the military that would design soldiers with enhanced abilities that would win any world war. He became obsessed and eventually would go to any lengths just to make the drug work. When the drug kept killing the people who volunteered to be tested on, Goodman came to the conclusion that he needed younger test subjects as hosts. The government didn't agree and put a stop to his life's work claiming he was going too far. Goodman was never seen again... He disappeared and created his own secret facility in order to continue his work, funded by a mysterious anonymous donor. He found 8 test subjects, all of them young adolescence around the same age. He tested the drug on them and it worked... but not quite in the way that he had anticipated. Anastasia has been living on the island for six years along with her closest friend since preschool, Edgar. Together they have survived whatever Goodman has thrown at them. But it hasn't been an easy journey for them, especially after they loose a close and dear friend, named Sally. But with Goodman always watching them they don't have time to show weakness, but will both Edgar and Anastasia break under the pressure and have Goodman to deal with as their punishment? Not only is there a new "test subject" as the replacement, but secrets could be revealed in not only Anastasia and Edgar's friendship, but in what happened to Sally. Jackie has had a complicated life, with her parents on the verge of divorce and her friend abandoning her in school, but she never thought it could ever get this complicated. Kidnapped and afraid she is brought to Goodman's mysterious island where she meets the other seven test subjects. Even though shes scared of what may happen to her, she makes quick friends with all of them. Will her new friendships be enough to keep her alive or will she fall into the black and never return?

Sneaking into a campus party shouldn't lead to expulsion, should it? *** Colleges across the U.S. have been on alert because of rioters who all but rendered the American Ivy League universities extinct, after the end of the COVID pandemic in twenty-twenty-five. After their destruction, smaller subsidiaries of those Ivy Leagues have been thriving, thanks to donations and government grants. In twenty-twenty-nine, Junior student Kera Mitchell learns the hard way that it's actually a minor crime to crash a party on campus--it's an invasion of private property. At her university, Valence, there are still severe punishments in place for disrespect to any structures on site. Kera finds out that though she won't be expelled for her party-crashing, she did break a serious rule, and she'll have to pay for it. Along with the party-throwers, hot golden boy Miles, and drug-dealing douche Vick, she's given a punishment none of them expected: they're sent to an unknown, tropical island to learn how to control their erratic behaviors. Like a brainwashing vacation against violence, sex, drugs, and alcohol. Except Kera shouldn't be there--she's as docile as they come, and has never been rowdy and rebellious in her life. Wrong place, wrong time? The island has many secrets, some of which Kera and Miles will stumble upon inadvertently, and that will change the course of the rest of their lives. Will they leave the island unscathed? Will they leave it... at all? ----------- A post-pandemic, post-apocalyptic, paranormal horror novel. Please mind your triggers (gore, language, trauma, violence) Inspired by a dream I had and that I became obsessed with turning into a book.
