This short story is a sort of parable based on the passage in the bible (Matthew 4:1-11.) If you have not read the Bible, it is a famous chapter where the devil, Satan, tempts Jesus three times in the desert. The devil fails and Jesus returns from the wilderness.

The Gospel of Clint
Many people know the story of the rich young man who approached Jesus and boldly asked, “What must I do to get eternal life.” Many of those same people may remember that Jesus responded, “If you want to be perfect, go sell your possessions, give to the poor and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” Matthew 19:13. What most of those people don't know, as well read and hermeneutically educated as they may be, is that this young man's name was Clint. The thought of selling all he owned was intimidating: Clint's family owned much of Jerusalem. The cost never matters when you know that your doing it for someone or something that you love and would died for. Fighting for what was right was always hard for those who were born and raised in the shadows, but they learn. They have to find that one something or someone that they are willingly going to die for, fight for. If you have someone you love to the edge of the world and would do this for them, make sure you give them your all. I've learned that from my one and only and this is something you can't read in any book you either have to find this out for yourself or through experience.Complete

"Who are you?" I asked him but instead of answering my question he suddenly grabs my hand and pulls me for a run. I don't know where he will bring me but to my surprised, I let him. We run away from something I don't know. I just know that there is something that was pulling me through a deep unknown darkness. But he was there and now we are running away. I don't know who he is yet I trusted him with all my life. For that instant, I knew my heart belongs to him. *** *** "I didn't mean to love you yet I love you so much I cannot hold you so tight." I said those words and I couldn't stop myself not to feel the bitterness of the truth we are going to face. But still I hold her hand even though I know that it isn't right. We run and I save her. Yet, I don't know it was the beginning and I don't want to find out the ending. Still, the end is near and I cannot hold her even though my heart already belongs to her.
