Invading a Beast World
All contact was lost when the last human army was encircled and destroyed in the arctic, no human contacts have ever been reported since the last army. Earth was officially lost as the last army protected the evacuation into space, many years have passed since then, and the likeliness of any human resistants on Earth have long since faded. Humanity struggled to adapt and survive on the distant planet of Mars in our solar system, the cold red deserts have challegened humanity beyond its capacity to live and yet humanity prevailed by all means. The Hazards of My Chosen Profession (on hiatus)
Michael also known as "Wolf" (because of a patch he wears on his kit and helmet) is a member of what was the 75th Ranger Regiment. He finds himself a veteran of a war between humanity and anthros. While he doesn't exactly hate them he doesn't exactly trust them either despite their efforts to rebuild the relationship between species. Unfortunately a good chunk of humanity and anthro kind was wiped out due to the war. But due to the anthros ability to reproduce faster they were able to recover much faster leaving humanity at a loss. Michael finds himself alone and on the run from a one of the most dangerous anthro militaries (at least to humans), known as the Obsidian Front. They continue to hunt down and kill humans forces despite the end to the war, causing proxy wars and often large scale skirmishes between them and remaining human militias.
