A tale of two very modern vampires.
Carmen is--or was--a security consult by day and a thief by night until something went terribly wrong. Drake impulsively decides to save her life, although he gives her a choice between life and death, there's no time to explain exactly what the life he has to offer entails -- slowed aging, photosensitivity, and an inability to digest anything other than blood.
