Everyone has one Father and that's God. Luckily my siblings and I were blessed a daddy . . . a man that saw his kids as more than an obligation, who saw our potential and nurtured it. Who saw our flaws and our failures and loved us in spite of them. Who worked his hardest to provide us with his best, long after we were able to provide for ourselves. If you're blessed enough to have a daddy, please let them know you love them . . . not just today, but every day. Each of these poems is dedicated to Carlton Leroy Smith (January 25, 1957-November 8, 2011)
