It truly is a disparate world for young Ocean Ida. Her surroundings are filled to the brim with dead ends and the interminable alleys, each setting sun arousing new shadows on the future. Ocean has had her fair share of hardships, being tossed unremittingly through the loops and chains of a life forced upon her since she was seven. Ocean's curse of forever remaining a Zombie look-alike has ripped her from the human world in which she should have belonged. She doesn't fit in with the zombies, quite the opposite, they despise her. She doesn't fit in with the humans, in fact, they try to get rid of her. That is, until the Apocalyptic Hunter Aaron Valentine, who had been on the trail for Oceans blood, unknowingly removes the curse from off her shoulders and all but the mark of the undead disappears. She is now given a chance to live as a teenage girl. Although, this gift won't be a simple one to accept. A removed curse comes with severe consequences of its own. Now the agency has taken notice of their little runaway, tracking her down to bestow her with a fate much like the undead's. Watch as Ocean is forced into never ending situations beyond her individual capacity. Zombies, Apocalyptic Hunters, and now the Agency. Will her list of reapers only continue to grow?
