Trials and Tribulations

Jamal Marquees Harrison, 18 years old and he's as humble as they come. Ambitious and optimistic, he has a passion for music. Trying to make it big in the music industry was and still isn't easy. His mother's been in and out of rehab for years, back and forth in a struggle to get rid of her drug addiction. Having become sober, she was able to regain custody of Jamal's younger brother and sister.

With his family living in the projects, life isn't too good around the edges and things are hard on his mother because she doesn't have a job that gives decent enough money for them to survive. Unlike Jamal, he who lives on his own, that doesn't overlook him attempting to create a life of his own. He battles to support them unlike his "father" who walked out because things got too rough.

He holds a job at the local super market and has his own life to deal with. Even with all that going on, he never fails in trying his best to make sure Tiana is happy.

Tiana Nivea-La'Shea Parker, she's 17 and the girlfriend of the ever so great Jamal. Growing up for Tiana was never easy. She was always bullied by most people regardless of what school she went to. Being scarred her whole life, she too has her flaws that sets her aside from most girls. She lives a life of a girl who's sick with depression and suffers having Alzheimer's. She strives to climb the highest mountain to get to where she wants to be. And despite people worrying about the wrong things in life, she doesn't have the best body either but Jamal loves her anyways.

He takes care of her like a queen but it's hard at times because she can't always do everything or always act as normal as everyone else. But they sure do bring out the best in each other.
