This story takes place in the year 3013, after a women's rights movement and war that leaves to many new discoveries in sciences, innovations, and the first female president. The story follows a young girl by the name of Maxie, a sophomore who has a special condition- in her bloodstream is a substance known as META the Mind Engineering Training Aid. The META turns you into a super soldier, with strength, speed, and power unmatched by a regular human. With this blessing comes a curse- the virus impacts your mind (hence the name) and causes your memories to fade, and with that you become easy to manipulate for the purposes of others. Those with this are taken from their homes, forced into a life of military by the government. Maxie chooses to rebel, as her memories aren't completely taken. She fights, longing for home and a way to save herself.All Rights Reserved

I was diagnosed with having the virus on January 1, 2015. My birthday was on the first and so I had just turned eighteen.
