Ash is a normal zombie-slaying (okay fine not so normal) 16 year old girl living during an apocalypse. Life couldn't be better, if you just cut out you know... the zombie part. With her boyfriend Michael, and her slight enemy, Alex, forest life is almost comparable to times before the apocalypse started two years ago.
Alex gives no crap to what Ash does, sortta. She wants to be friends, if that's possible. However she is the leader of everyone, being modest and all of course. She misses her old life yet knows she can't run.

For her senior year, Ashley moves into her aunts mansion in order for Ashley to live the life every child deserves. There, Ashley encounters new friends and a guy who has changed her outlook on life. However, the disease inside of Ashley is starting to eat away at her, and the attacks from it causing her excruciating pain.
