Alice had never known a wonderful, joy filled life. Her parents left her often, her uncle had abused her, and she just simply could not cope. She wakes up screaming and crying. Her parents had to figure out something, anything, to help her, for the therapy didn't work. They could only think of one way; moving.
When Alice's parents decide to move to a quiet, yet creepy town in the middle of Ohio in attempts to escape their child's horrendous past, they have not heard of a local legend. This was the legend of The Dark Rose. However, when a boy across the street, Dylan, decides to visit Alice, all hell breaks loose. No, it was not his intention, but any child who lives in the house they moved to is doomed to a horrible fate.
Alice, Dylan and his sister, Isabelle, figure out clues to save Alice and possibly stop the curse. But when you mess with the dead, you get more than you bargain for.

Brianna suddenly received a hard slap to her face which caused her to stumble and see black spots and two guns now pointed at them. Aubrey let out a scream which was quickly muffled by the other man, who seemed younger than the one who had hit Brianna. Brianna's face was red now, but not from the slap, rather from the anger which was building up from the fact that these amateur men were about to either rob or kidnap them.
