We sat in comftorable silence for a while. Finally, the words slipped out of my mouth,

"Finn, what is a clone?" I turned to look at him, and saw his face turn pale. He moistened his lips, he replied.

"Something humans should be ashamed of doing. Something that - if they hadn't done - would still be proof of their humanity."

"What is humanity?"

"Something that makes a person human."

I knew I was bothering him, but the questions kept spilling out of my mouth.

"What makes a person human?"

This time he remained silent.
