Suicidal sixteen year-old Everly Darkbound finds herself in a different universe with a better life... Or so she thinks. Everly is actually trapped inside a coma, and is dreaming about an alternate universe. Eventually this universe crumbles and becomes her worst nightmare, causing her to run away. While running, she meets a boy who tells her that he can do anything for her, as long as she makes a promise.
