But, when Valentine mysteriously disappeared 3 years ago and the Clave set out looking for her, Clary went on the run. Her father had trained her well and she knew her mission: receive the Mortal Instruments. But what happens when Clary slips up, making a huge mistake and getting captured as a result? Can she conquer her inner demons to help the Shadowhunters for good? Will the influence of one very special Shadowhunter change her for the better with love? Or is Clary truly evil?
