In every culture, in our world, there are tales, rumours, historical references and legends that hint at the use of magic. Throughout history there are many legends of those that have the power to perform feats that no one else can. Folklore tells us of those few special souls that perform feats that can only be explained as magical. Being Re-Written Book 1 in The Red Hood Trilogy There's a story about a girl that never really had a name. Red Riding Hood was walking by the forest carrying a basket for her grandmother, and gets tricked by the wolf. That's the story that you HAVE heard. The generations of mystery and heartbreak of the Red Hiding Hood name led to questions and unbeliefs. Especially in this story. The story that you haven't heard. This time, the forest is filled with nightmares and a PACK of wolves. Even imagination friends who aren't even that good. The deadly forest is known to make people go insane. Especially the Red Riding Hood bloodline. But the main character needs to know what happened. She needs to bring the medicines that her grandmother had mailed to her to bring. The grandmother lives at the OTHER side of the forest. But how did she get there? And who exactly IS the grandmother of this tale? The wolf? Or something that had to be dead, but in the end... A Retelling of Charles Perrault's Little Red Cap The Crimson Cape retells the classic story of Charles Perrault's fairytale Little Red Cap, better known as Little Red Riding Hood. For many years, the people living in the Infinite Forest have lived in fear of the wolves that inhabit those woods. The wolves used to periodically attack humans and some of the victims lost their lives. In addition to weaponry to defend themselves, the people would don enchanted clothing that would protect them from the wolves. Phoenix is a young girl who grew up without a mother, who was killed by wolves when Phoenix was only a toddler. She was given an enchanted crimson cape to wear whenever she left. the house. One year, during a very frightening encounter with a wolf, her cape is ripped and the magic leaves the garment forever. In order to re-enchant the cape, Phoenix must provide a sample of the blood of the thing she fears the most. In this case, Phoenix's greatest fear was a specific wolf that is believed to be the biggest of them all. The very essence of the term Big Bad Wolf. On her quest, Phoenix learns to face her fears. A classic tale of a little girl wearing a red hood and having grandma being eaten by a wolf and wood cutter saving her and Little Red Riding Hood has always been children's favorite's for years to come. But here is my twisted version is where the grandmother was killed and having the wolf forcing Little Red to live with him, later on they fell in love and there is the leader of a wolf pack that is trying to kill Little Red Riding Hood. Her name is now just Red Riding Hood because she is not little anymore, she is a 20 year old woman living with her mother in the village. The family of Red Riding Hood play a small role and not much of them is heard of again. Especially the poor grandmother. But in this story not all is what they seem as for this fairy-tale there is so much more. One day her mother sends her to visit her sick grandmother where a big wolf stops in her path to warn her of the danger she is about to face. Can Red trust the wolf? It's only her grandmother how can she be in any danger? What is she meant to face after talking to a stranger?
