Inside Venice's backstreets,Freddo Rossi and Renaldo DiMartini  wander around,two scammers who every day are trying to get away from police and from cheated housewives.One day,they meet Gino Brazzi,a rich shipowner who wants to marry Renaldo's aunt,Mari Cicognini.But,his aunt had died a year ago and the guys need money desperately.So,they apply their biggest scam of their lives.By finding incidentally an unemployed actress and singer Angelic Morel,who looks exactly like Renaldo's aunt,they present her as aunt Mari and they promise her half of the fortune.Their plan goes well until the moment that Fredo meets the fasinating daughter of Brazzi,Flora and falls for her deeply and Angelic falls for Brazzi for real.
