What would happen if the ozone layer above the Earth shattered? How would we live? Many have been killed. Seven billion people has been decreased to seven million. People have been forced to live under force fields. That includes the curious Trixie Winters. Trixie has always love watching the life outside. When an envelope comes in the mail on her seventeenth birthday saying she can join the Sightseers-- a group of people who go out the force field to explore the world outside-- she joins without a second thought. When an unexpected discovery occurs. Trixie must help the animals on the Outside. But rebelling against the government has horrible consequences, which includes death, and she is forced to leave the safety of the force field.
