Lora,who is 15 years old, moved to a new town after her parents' divorce. She tried to make new friends but everybody seemed to reject her and she felt like an outsider. One day, she found an envelope inside her locker and when she opened it, she was stunned with what's written in it. Her life became miserable after that and all she dreamt of was to stay alive.

Maybe you want to get to know Knife, and his journey on tackling his problems outside of school, like getting into fights that weren't his, or being out later than he was meant to. Lindsay goes through a lot of difficult situations from her mom's boyfriend, to her friend's dad, to her mom moving, to her moving with dad, to moving schools, to transferring back and losing one of her best friends. Lindsay begins to lose hope, and she begins to get really depressed to the point she feels like suicide is all that's left. She turns to drugs, alcohol, and self-harm. Feeling as if no one cares, she begins to plan her suicide. She does fine in school in hopes that it will keep the attention away from her actions.
