Descendants of dragons, the Sevirs are a cross between man and myth, and through centuries of evolution, they have taken the form of man but wield powers out of the ordinary.

Some have unmatched strength; others, the gift of flight; and a rare few the ability to create and control fire; but it is the Laceres everyone fears. With talons and fangs that can slice through the hardiest of metals and a mind that is more monster than human, they kill anyone – man or Sevir – at the sight and smell of blood.

Eveza, a woman with the gift of fire, is at the forefront of the Army in eradicating the Laceres, but then she meets Alexon – a half–Laceris that is more man than monster. When she saves him from the cusp of death, they set out on an adventure together and set a series of events that challenges the long–held traditions and beliefs of the Sevirs.
