He then backed down his guard, lowered his sword and risk his safe space. Just as when you thought it's a perfect love story, things went downhill. She's ready to sacrifice her comfortable and reserved life just to be with him. But he didn't want her to break apart. If it means he should drown just to save her, even if it will cause her to hate him entirely, he will let her go. And so he did. She came back loathing him, as he wished. And he swore he'll win her over.
