Avery Wilks is an extremely ordinary teenage girl, with a strong love for the band Bring Me the Horizon. Other than that, she's fairly normal.

Bullied and beaten, both by students at her school and her parents, she really has no one to turn to. She turns to the blade at night as her only friend and she quickly becomes addicted to the blissful pain.

She quickly becomes submerged into a world of numbness and darkness, with no light to safely guide her out of it. Her one enocounter with Oliver Sykes changes her life forever, or is that just her inner fan talking?
