Brooklyn Heart, the daughter of famous movie producers, has struggled to find happiness. Her parents pressured her to be perfect, like she wasn't good enough. Hollywood always seemed more important than spending time with their daughter, and it lead Brooke to believing that they truly didn't care. Brooke then spiraled downwards, her grades slipping and criminal record expanding.
Her parents now hope that Brooke's behavior and attitude can be reversed by spending a summer with the Carter family.
This is a whole new kind of punishment for Brooke, and she will be faced with multiple challenges.
1- She'll be thrown in the middle of nowhere with an unknown family.
2- Even though she is 'one of the guys', having a guy friend and living with a guy are completely different... and she'll be living with eight.
3- There's a girl. Brooke has successfully avoided contact with females, because they exhibit drama. How will she ever survive a summer with one?
4- The Carters are welcoming, and they have a family dynamic that was absent in a majority of Brooke's life: they are happy, love each other, and actually have fun.
Can she learn to live with the large family, learn to dismantle her stubborn walls, change her perspective, and possibly learn to love?
