If you had been bullied by everyone you knew for being gay, you'd want a way to get away from it all wouldn't you?

That's why he started doing it, that's why he started cutting.

When his mom found out, she told him to stop, that he was too fragile for that kind of stuff. So he stopped, for his mothers sake.

He stopped cutting.

But Michael found a new way to keep him self in line, he would use rubber bands for a replacement.

The day he stopped, he started  collecting rubber bands.

He had arm fulls of them.

Now, at school, online, even where he doesn't know anybody, he is known as rubber band boy.

Not Michael Clifford.

But rubber band boy.
