Elle lives in the year 2226 where the government decides on a plan that will change the lives of everyone.  With a little over 15 billion people living on Earth, the planet is dying, so the government creates a test to discover citizen's intelligence. If they don't pass the test, they are put into suspended animation while the most intelligent humans solve all of the pressing world problems. Only when Earth can sustain that amount of life will the general population be awoken.Elle begins to have dreams, that are accurate depictions of the future. In one of these dreams she meets Ryder and she learns that the government isn't to be trusted. Regardless, Elle will be tested.
