Once upon a time I lived in a castle with a princess. She took care of me, fed me. I had everything I ever wanted. I wasn't in that bad place anymore. But, all that changed when my princess left and the bad people wanted to take me to that place, again. There's no going back to my old life now.

Kitty's beloved owner has died. She is a stray. She lives on the garbage people leave and sleeps outside in the rain, in the snow, in the wind. She is constantly chased by animal control and shunned by everyone because she is a stray. She decides to leave her old home to forget her master and the pain of her death. On the way to a new life she discovers a shy couple who can't seem to talk to each other despite their attraction for one another, an old man who has gone through a loss himself, and a young girl who maybe, just maybe, will give her all the love and care she deserves.

Once upon a time in the hidden heart of France, a handsome young prince lived in a beautiful castle. Although he had everything his heart desired, the prince was selfish, spoiled, and unkind. He had an entire army of servants there to attend to his every need, most of which were there since his childhood. The prince nearly hated his staff, even when they'd done nothing wrong - and were only trying to meet his needs. One night, during one of the Prince's courting events - a special type of ball, where dozens of young woman would dress up and dance with the prince, in an attempt to win over his heart and become queen to the Kingdom - An uninvited guest arrived. It was a poor, shivering, elderly woman seeking shelter from the bitter winter storm. Repulsed by her haggard appearance, the prince dismissed the woman. As a gift, the old woman offered the prince a single rose, but when he dismissed her again, the woman's outer appearance melted away. Only to reveal a beautiful enchantress. The prince begged for forgiveness, but it was too late - for she could see there was no love in his heart. The enchantress cursed the prince, transforming him into a hideous beast - and if he was unable to learn to love another, and earn their love in return by the time the last petal from the rose she offered had fallen, he would remain a beast forever. But the enchantress also placed the curse upon his innocent castle staff, who were transformed into antiques; suffering for the prince's mistake(s) in small, rusting, metallic bodies. Life was hard enough for the staff, but now - it was unbearable. ~ This story will go through the staff's struggles before, DURING, and after they were cursed. It will also fill plot holes and extend the ending of Beauty And The Beast. A majority of this story is a prequel, and will fall into a bit of a sequel as well, so I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!
