Steven Universe, on a mission with the Crystal Gems, finds a large black gemstone with wave like patterns in the colors of fire. He shows it to the gems, who've surprisingly 'never' seen such a gem before, and with a bit of convincing, allow him to take it home. When Steven awoke to get a midnight snack, the gem reformed and appeared in his kitchen. Who was this? Why havn't the gem's heard of him before? Why did he feel such a pull to him? What does he know? Steven looks different compared to when he was kid, but after white diamond removed his gem he began to notice that something wasn't quite right so he went to the mirror and look at whats different and to his surprise, his hair was turning pink but thats not all he noticed, his Gem...it began to rotate to that of a diamond so he did the only thing he could think of, he went to the diamonds about this, so say they were shocked was an understatement, so white diamond began to explain that maybe when she removed his gem, the gem itself began to make changes because your human half can't take the diamond powers that are showing so it maybe changing you to be a half-Diamond, steven understood that his gem was only doing what it thought was protecting him. So he just let it happen even though it was hurting when his gem was rotating but white diamond said that it might take awhile for it to rotate. So he was just walking around in pain but doesn't let it affect him and he didn't tell the gems of the new changes yet.
