Until he was forced to find out, Jack Barlow had no idea that he--that shy, awkward kid with hardly any friends--was special.
When new girl Alice shows up at Jack's school, she almost instantly becomes best friends with Jack's best friend Jonas. The two of them are inseparable, until an unfortunate accident separates Alice and Jonas and forces Alice to reveal to Jack that he is a Mage, or a person with a special magical ability. Jack begins attending the Academy of Magic, but even there, his ability sets him from everyone else. He discovers that his friends and everyone he knows are much different than they appear, and his whole perspective is changing. When he can't trust anything anymore, can he even trust himself?

The Noble Academy has a group of people that are born with special abilities besides the other humans. They are called Elementals. These people are at the top of the school. So far, the known abilities are fire, water, earth and air. These people wear red cloaks and mask to protect their identities. What happens when there is a person that has all the abilities and more? Meet Winter Valentine. She knows what she is and she knows it must be kept as a secret. The elders of the Academy keep a close eye on her. Fearing that she can be a dangerous threat as she controls very strong powers. A dangerous power is approaching and not all the Elements can defeat them. They need Winter to fight with it but how can they do so if they don't know Winter? (It isn't fully edited. "He likes your curves. Rightfully claims you as his... in his mind." Asher now speaks staring at the golden boy. I carefully peek through my lashes to find him still looking at me. "Are you jealous?" I dare to ask. He sits back at the wall staring at me. He runs his eyes down my body and slowly smirks. "Yes," "Good," I say digging my fork into the pasta. I then place the pasta into the carrots... Playing with my food. I have been scolded for this many times when I was back in the Ordinary world. Now there is no one to do that for me.
