Rieve is a foolish girl who, while so hellbent on revenge forgot that being a monster and a supernatural is not a hand-in-hand deal.

After being turned into a vampire she feels as if her life and everything she had built of over the years has come crashing down. Although as the days progress it becomes more clear that this was not some accident. Rieve soon realizes that she had become entangled with some vampire's life years earlier when she stumbles upon letters that look identical to her own handwriting yet severely unfamiliar.
