When the greatest starship ever built catastrophically crashes, there are no official survivors. But a lone fishing trawler pulls a girl out of the ocean weeks later. The crew drops anchor on the West Coast, and the girl is kidnapped, never to be seen again by the crew. Years later, the girl gets mixed up in the slave trade. On the run for her life, the girl known as Zara makes a desperate attempt at freedom by jumping of a cargo ship bound for the outer limits of the known universe.
