Winning means fame and fortune. Losing means certain death. The Hunger Games have begun... In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send two people (gender does not matter) between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV. Sixteen-year-old Dean Winchester regards it as a death sentence when he steps forward to take his brothers place in the Games. But Dean has been close to death before- and survival for him, is second nature. Without really meaning to, he becomes a contender. But if he is to win, he will have to start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life agaisnt love. --Disclaimer- I dont own this story since i am only rewriting it with supernatural characters since i really wanted to write a story like this. I dont own the people either. Copyright © Susan Collins 2008All Rights Reserved
