Have you ever had anyone lie to you?  Actually scratch that. Have you ever had an adult lie to you? A person you looked up to? Well I have. Not just one person. A whole country worth of adults and role models.  A whole government. They lied to us. Told us that everything they did  was "within everyone’s best interest." That everything was " for the good of the community"  

They. Lied.

Alex lived in a society were she thought she was safe. WRONG. When it became clear this was far from the truth there was only one thing left to do. RUN. When running results in the capture of a loved one all she could think of was to FIGHT BACK. With a broken arm and crazy hallucinations it becomes clear that it wasn't as easy as Alex thought.

Armed only the powers they were born with, the group do everything they can to discover the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. But many have tried and failed, do they really stand a chance? Alexander doesn't think so, but his main concern is finding his sister, Rosia.

While there, Adellia meets a young blacksmith by the name of Faron and gets sucked into a plot that goes against her, and her mother's wishes. Will she be able to venture into the unknown, and survive out of the watchful eye of the palace? This book has sexual reference and mentions of things that could possibly be triggering to some - e.g. young motherhood and loss of a parent. This work is usually split into two parts, but I have decided to take down the second part, and consider the first part, one book for now, so I can work on the second. When the second part/book has been finished, I'll decide whether I like it as one book or to reincorporate the rest of the book to make it one. Entered in the Wattys(2020)!
