I jolt awake in a frenzied haze as I see the world around me complete and total darkness. Where am I? What's going on? Please help me... There's a loud creak and I can see a small sliver of light. Someones here! They come in, a wicked grin on their face. No.... No, no, no, no! Why....?

Being trapped inside one place most of your life is suffocating. So I took it upon myself to go behind my mother's back every chance I got to leave. I never thought that one day I would be caught. My mother agrees to let me go to school with the neighboring pack's alpha. She only agreed to prove to me that was a monster to other species. To her a Vampire demon should never be left unattended. She may be right most of the times. This time I think my mother could be wrong. Mother doubted me only to be proved wrong. I can coexist with wolves, I've been doing it for years. Now the humans. They are tempting for a hybrid like me. I can push past their tempting blood for 8 hours each day. The thing is I might not want to but I can. Life just keep throwing obstacles my way. Now I have a beloved. An extremely tempting beloved. My demon loves the taste of blood. How long before she gets a taste or our mates?

In Greenwood High, all it takes to survive is that long hair. With it comes Popularity and Friends. But I do not have that. When Luck changes for the better, two popular girls were kind enough to help me and befriend me. I thought those days of misery were over. But even a rainbow can come to an end due to a storm. "As I looked up, my eyes met someone else's. He had curly copper brown hair that fell on his forehead and a chiseled jaw but I wasn't too concerned about his physical attributes. What really stuck out to me was his hazel eyes. I felt my pupils dilate as I slowly melted in his eyes. I felt safe in the comfort of his gaze. Why do I feel safe? The room faded away. It was just the two of us. Why does he have this effect on me? His eyes looked sympathetic. Why is he sympathetic? What are my eyes telling him? I felt a warm sensation flow through my body as my breaths became deeper. I didn't care about any of what happened before and I didn't care about anyone else. I just wanted to stay in this moment, with him, forever."

You know that feeling when you feel like you want to kill yourself? Not out of sadness, but out of hatred? That's the feeling that I've felt my entire life. Everyday, when you look at the clock and you just see the seconds hand slowly move around the clock. When it'd just stop raining and you see the raindrops fall slowly off the wall. Sometimes when you're just sitting in class and you blur the whole world out and think. The life of every high schooler. Sometimes the world is just so terrible and annoying, you have no other idea than just to commit suicide.

Ever since I could remember my parents have always said I'm special,not the your great at sports special or the just because you can not make friends special but the your the only hybrid special. I started showing sighs of magic at a young age after my first shift. Since I am the first of my kind, I have trouble controlling my powers and my parents have always warned me to never let that happen because it would cause others to want to use it against me or for evil. This did not became more apparent than the day I witnessed them die. Before they died they had told me that the only way for me to control my powers was if I found my mate because then I'd have balance but as luck would have it when I did find my mate, he rejected me so I have been living my life as a human. Its been nearly a decade and a half since their death, I had made peace with what happened in the past but the past has not made peace with me so it seems...
