At the end of the road, a small, dirty blonde haired girl sat down on the tar.

Her curls sat messily at the bottom of her back, and her once-life-filled blue eyes were now a dull, lifeless grey.

The pink dress she wore that her step-mother brought three years ago was ripped and torn beyond repair, and no matter how much she was nagged to throw it away - she would answer with the same reply, as though she'd memorised the line off by heart.

"I wore this dress the last time I saw him."

As soon as her line was said, the room would hush into utter silence. All partying would stop, and every laugh would be struck down.

The room would have a slightly guilty feeling, but of course - everyone ignored it, for it didn't actually matter. He was dead, and once someone's gone, they're gone...
