"I-Incubus... That's a demon that impregnates girls just to breed.... R-Right?" Her voice trembled with fear and I loved it.

"That's right, my dear. And you will be the only female within and one thousand foot radius of Karcine here," I used my nail and lifted her chin. Oh the look of fear was amazing.

Elodie's life changes at the turn of a doorknob when she is forced into joining a secret organization that claims to be protecting the Earth from aliens. But with every step she takes, she finds the organization, or the facility, as they call it, becoming more and more suspicious. When a mysterious death occurs, revealing a well-concealed secret, things quickly go downhill as humanity's future is placed on the shoulders of a single gaggle of teenagers. *** I hear a sigh from the other side of the door, "Miss. Chaucer, you have a wonderful opportunity here, are you going to take it or not?" Now, I am seriously confused, "Opportunity?" She takes advantage of my befuddled state and shoves the door open. Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. So, call me stupid, but I sit down. "I am from a space organization that protects civilians from . . . outside threats." *** Beautiful cover made by @mahana258! He smiled. The devil himself couldn't have crafted a more wicked grin. "What do you say we play a game, little Reaper?" I narrowed my eyes, trying to decipher his intentions. "What kind of game?" His grin widened, showing the tips of his fangs. I watched the prince curiously as he strode over to his bag. With a swift motion, he withdrew a bow and a quiver of arrows, flinging them at my feet without so much as a second glance. I furrowed my eyebrows, casting him a look of uncertainty. That sinister grin stayed plastered upon his lips as he said, "Run." *** I, Skyla Ashforth, am what some might call a "sociopath." It was a title that fit. Why shouldn't I embrace it? I am a vampire slayer, a Reaper of bloodsuckers, and an exceptionally good one, if I do say so myself. Yes, being a sociopath has its perks; I could manipulate and deceive with the best of them. So, when captured by the notorious Red Prince, I embraced the challenge of manipulating my freedom. Pierce Darcee, was a sadistic vampire with a God complex. The fool actually believed he could break me. Little did he know, I was the kind of Reaper who would dance through a battlefield, whistling a merry tune as I twirled my braids. I relished the challenge of manipulating his oversized ego, planning to stab that rotting, blackened heart of his with a venom-laced dagger. I crafted a scheme so delightful, so intricate, that I couldn't help but salivate at the prospect of victory. It was foolproof, or so my mind believed. But then... then there was that pull. That unexpected, unwelcome spark that ignited something within me. Feelings, of all things! Now, that was a complication. Disgusting, messy feelings that could very well lead to my destruction. Or his. It was a dangerous game we played, but then again, the most thrilling ones usually are. *Rated M for Murder, Mayhem, and some profanity. Sorry but no smutty interludes. You've stumbled into a blood bath, not a bodice ripper.*

I felt the bed dip as he sat down on the other side but I focused solely on my task until I was done. "This is a pillow barrier. Meaning, you don't breach this side of the pillows." I instructed, my voice firm. "What if I don't want anything between us?" Phoenix said in a husky voice, and I risked a glance. Bad choice. His eyes were dark and his gaze was on my lips, to my chest, then back to my lips. "Eyes up here, buddy." I snapped the third time his eyes went down to my chest. All he did was turn off the lights. When it was dark, he whispered," Can't I admire what is mine?" I had no answer, and turned on my side. He sighed. Despite taking two naps today, I was out cold the minute my head hit my pillow. I could only hope that in the morning, the pillow barrier was still there. ***** Adira has a secret, one she would do anything to protect. She's built barriers around her heart, so strong that only the most powerful force could break them down. Adira was an Alpha's daughter, 19 years old, and didn't want a mate. She was too focused on figuring out what her deadly secret meant for her and those she loved. When she discovered her mate was Alpha Phoenix, she was sure the Moon Goddess was trying to punish her. As truths unfold and loyalty is put to the test, her secret comes to light. Those she loves and the ones who would hurt her without a second thought find out, and she finds out a certain Twin has her in his sights. Will she open up to Phoenix? Will he break down her walls? Or will they both drown in truth's untold? (The first book in the Hybrid Series.) #4 in Werewolf #4 in Possessive mate *You may cry, laugh, smile, curse and/or experience mood swings while reading* * Warning: Not as cliche as it first seems:)*

She opened my legs standing in between them. She ran her hands up my stomach, over my breast and to my neck holding it with both of her hands, making me look her in the eyes watching them slowly turned red. Valeria moved my head around, tightening her hold on my neck causing me to close my eyes. Yet she pinched the side of my neck causing them to open again-to see her eyes fully red. "Tell me what you are here for" Valeria whispered, pulling my face closer to hers, looking me in the eyes as her pupils grew. "That doesn't work on me" I whispered but she just smirked, pulling me closer-to the point our noses were touching. "Of course it does baby" Valeria smirked, quickly her pupils formed into a thin line and her smirk disappeared, "Tell me baby-what are you here for" She whispered and this time the weight of telling her was on my chest, choking me. "Agreement-" I started causing her to nod and pull away her hands still on my neck, "I want us to feed off of each other through sex" I said and instantly the weight was gone.

"You believe you've seen the dark? Sweetheart, you are absolutely adorable." I said my voice dark and humorous. "Darkness is so much more complex. So much more... tempting." I said my tongue darting out, licking my lips. "It creeps up on you... and before you know it..." I paused and slowly walked around him massaging his shoulders. "It has taken a hold off you," I said and grabbed him by the throat from behind, tilting his head back, and made him look at me. He gasped as his eyes found mine. "What happened to You?" He croaked. A smirk crept onto my face. "Nothing sweetie. I'm simply showing my true colors." I chuckled humourlessly. .....
