When Alice Liddell discovers a hunting weapon in her fathers bedside table it represents an intrusion of mystery into her ordrinary life. Chief among the creatures who gather around Alice is vampire Lucian Bathory, a prince. Together, Alice and Lucian embark on a journey to understand the Draconist Lamina secrets. But the relationship that develops between the ages-old vampire and the hunter threatens to unravel the fragile peace that has long existed between creatures and humans and will certainly transform Alice's world as well.
