Annalisa Stilinski hasn't said a word since her mother, Claudia Stilinski, died - what is there to say? All she wants is for her life to change; for the better, this time.

Anna had never felt so alone; not until the pack lost two of their own. She distanced herself from everyone after that retched night in Oak Creek. She wakes up every morning to the tempting thought of never waking up again. Her fragile form lurks among the townsfolk of Beacon Hills, blending into the once plain and uninteresting town.

Anna has always wondered why people are so afraid of anything remotely unique. She believes unique to be beautiful. Besides, everyone should know that the real monsters are on the inside, stalking in the back of our minds, banging on the locked doors to be set free.

Anna constantly thinks back to Allison, brave Allison Argent, dying in Scott's arms; wondering what she should've done differently. Maybe if she'd been looking, she could've helped? "It should've been you." Anna tells herself. "Who would miss you?"

So much tragedy has caused her to become a shell of the shining ray of light she was once, before her mother.

What happens when a certain blonde-haired freshman transferee enters her life? Will she let her walls down; or will she be left to rot in her own subconscious once more?
