Jeremy Ross, J.R for short, finds himself fighting for his life the night his mom leaves him alone to go to work. Breaking stories are on all channels, covering the terrifying reality the world has just come to. After scientists tried to recreate extinct animals, the genetics and chemicals of those animals got loose. The chemicals infest the air and turn every person over the age of 18 into half human half murderous beast. J.R isn't sure how long he can last in this new murderous, unforgiving, adult less world. With no hope and only death, J.R makes it his mission to survive as long as he can to the new safe refuge in D.C. With his mom having the background of a nurse, J.R knows a thing or two, and that thing or two may help him keep fellow survivors alive, and maybe even himself. Fighting through haunting memories, broken worlds, and heartless murderers, will J.R be able to stay alive?

It's been five years since the plague struck. Leah knows there are other survivors, but she's avoiding them. She is doing just fine on her own. Surviving after everyone she knew died has made her physically strong and honed her intelligence, but she is emotionally devastated. There is nothing to fear if you don't make yourself emotionally vulnerable. James has spent the last five years helping to build up a colony of survivors. He believes in the small town they have populated and its mission to save humanity from extinction. He and his small team of men find scattered people and bring them in. Over the last two centuries, women have fought for and won more and more rights, gaining equality with men. Society, law, and technology bolsters and enforces these rights, but now they are gone. Women's equality with men is over. There are just too few of them. They aren't lesser but greater, more important, more valuable than men. Men are expendable. Men can stay outside alone if they like, but all women must be brought inside the safety of the Colony and properly taken care of. James has been searching the area Leah lives in. Her time of solitude is up. Leah sparks something in James he's never felt before. He's not letting this one get away, certainly not twice. Warning: Contains sex, some violence, occasional foul language, and adult issues. Genre: Science Fiction, Romance, Post-apocalyptic, Dark romance Length: 84,468 words This book has been published on Amazon. Ever have the feeling that something is not quite right, but you just can't put your finger on it? I do, I can hear the voice that tries desperately to influence my movements and tries to destroy any shred of sanity I can keep my hands on. My life always was weird from the vague memories I can recall from my childhood, but there is always something that makes me stop trying to remember. I've learned the hard way how cruel and despicable people can be. Life is complicated enough, but then people just always have to make it that much harder. ----------- Tori didn't have an easy start to life. She knew very little other than isolation and few emotions she chooses to acknowledge if she doesn't have to. Her life was turned upside down at the young age of twelve, throwing her into a tailspin unlike she had ever experienced. Not only was the only home she ever knew torn away, but she found herself thrust into a human riddled world she never knew existed. At first, she struggled with trying to accept her new life, struggled to find ways to cope, but with the help of a few friends, she found herself thriving in her new environment until her past caught up with her. --------- Sorry guys! I really suck at book descriptions, please give it a read and let me know what you think!
