Alissa Rickert has the life every girl dreams about. When tragedy strikes, Alissa is sent to live with her aunt, and slowly starts spiraling out of control. Getting kicked out of school after school, she is finally sent to Burkwood Academy, a boarding school where parents send their teens to be tamed or just taken out of their responsibility.
