He was dependent on it. He couldn't live without it, not that he realized it. He thought he was just fine. He didn't know all the pain and suffering he caused to all those around him. All because he needed the needle. He would keep denying it, but everyone saw through that unmistakably bad lie. He'd kill for the needle and the needle would eventually kill him.

She started out just fine, it was only a  diet. She wanted to lose all those pounds that everyone kept pointing out to her. She knew it would be good for her. Eating healthier and more proportionally would do her some wonders. After weeks of going at it, she saw no difference so she started restricting her eating. It escalated quickly to something barely manageable. When she felt hungry she would eat so much and then feel so guilty. She didn't want to, she jut had to, if not then the guilt would keep eating at her.
