Life, Feelings, and Relevance

Sometimes we fear truth over reality. But things get dark and heavy and we play the blame game. We end up hurting others or ourselves even. We don't think before we act or we don't say before we do. This is the evolution of my madness. A cluster of rants and thoughts and poems for you guys. Everything is written how I wanted it to be rants will be long with few pauses and there will be mistakes I might have skipped over. Aha. With a mysterious past, Dylan tries to live a normal life as a military man and prepares himself to lead hundreds of men into this next battle. I wanted to tell her that she is not like a sister to me and that I love her, but something stopped me. The hope that shone in her eyes stopped me. War is unpredictable. The outcomes are unpredictable. If I were to tell her the truth and we were to fall in love, wouldn't there be more risks. I'll be worried about her constantly, as she'll be about me. If I were to get injured in the field, she will have to spend her life taking care of me. If I were to die, wouldn't I hurt her more than now.

When you've been hurt, it's difficult to learn to love again. When you've felt pain, it's not so easy to be joyful. When your heart has been broken, it feels impossible to let someone put it back together. But then someone comes along, and they want to love you. They want to give you joy. They want to fix your broken heart. The only question is, will you allow them to keep your heart?
