I was perfectly okay with my life. You know, being the submissive, hushed, bystander of the world around me. I mean I have my camera, my journal, my secret passion for singing, and my best friend Ethan. Whom by the way is the yin to my yang; the day to my night. What else could there be for me? Well... it turns out there is love, rules waiting to be broken, dares yet to be fulfilled, and a whole other side of myself I didn't know existed. I can't even begin to fathom how I could've been in such a confining nutshell I called my life. This... this all started when 'new guy' said a soliloquy and I had a revelation of the fact that I am who I am. And if my arrogant highschool peers can't understand that then they are irrelevant fuckfaces who need to shut their big mouths. Because I LIKE who I am, and I love everyone in my life. And in the end when all these moments are just memories, that's all that's going to count. (Chris and Ethan Fan fiction)

Ethan Lane was your typical player. He was smooth, handsome, manly, successful and a total chick magnet. Women loved him and men wanted to be him. He had a steady stream of girlfriends in his past but always craved for more on the side. He could never be faithful or satisfied. He only knew how to live dangerously pleasing only himself as no one else mattered. The idea of finding 'the one' was nothing but bull he didn't believe in love or romance. He came from a broken family where promises and words meant nothing only actions. Having moved out of home at 15 Ethan knew he could only ever rely on himself and no one else. Lauren Contini was studying Business at Uni full time with a part time job on the side. She was naturally gorgeous, smart, funny, intelligent but naive & innocent. She'd only had serious monogamous relationships in the past with a string of guys always willing to be her 'friend'. She was an 'it' girl at Uni and pretty much had it all planned out where her life was going. With a huge family to support her every move she was very much loved. Despite her wealthy family she was down to earth and humble, she planned to make her own wealth and wanted to be financially independent. So what happens when these two worlds collide. Polar opposites in so many ways but the attraction is undeniable. Can they get their happy ending? ~~~~~~~~~~ Copyright © 2015 by Debbie Brock All rights reserved. You can read the uncut version of this book over on https://archiveofourown.org/works/61769338 Life could be so unfair, everyone adored my big sister Ava, yes everyone. Ava was the most popular girl in school, she was outgoing, beautiful, and shone like a radiant star. Our parents told her she could easily be a model or anything she wanted really, and Ava with all the confidence of a film star strode through life dazzling all in her wake. She had thousands of followers on her Instagram, Whatsapp, and Tic Toc, and what did I have. Well I had a creative streak and an introverted nature, and I lived in Ava's shadow. The only reason it seemed anyone spoke to me was to get my big sister's attention. I felt like a butler or a handmaiden to a Queen. It was like I never had my own identity. No one saw me at all, until that one day someone did, and I remember it like yesterday. Did I make a good decision probably not, would I do it again, I am unsure. But just once someone noticed me, yes me, and it felt so good. It was good at first, but by the time I had realized the good would never last, the jaws of the trap were closed. I was far away and at his mercy, and yet another stood by me, one who could rescue me from my mistakes.
