Miche doesn't like routine. She doesn't like conforming to the norm. Her people are finally doing well as a race and are understandably harboring some ill will towards their lighter counterparts, but she isn't having any of it. She decides that she will ignore new norms and embrace the old traditions. She was prepared for the consequences of acting against society, but he clearly had his own ideas.
