It starts off as a game, really. Like tag—child’s play—an innocent activity that was taken to the next level.
The rules are quite simple: IT is picked randomly. The group takes the hat and on each slip of paper, it either reads, “IT”, or “NOT IT”. IT isn’t supposed to announce who they are, it’s the shock value that makes the game worth it. Like I said; it’s a child’s game.
Except instead of touching shoulders, IT’s throwing knives. Instead of running away laughing, they’re screaming and begging to quit. That’s another rule; if you’re found, there’s no backing out. That’s all up to IT.
I’m IT. And I intend to win.
