When his therapist - who his mum makes him see - suggests to keep a diary. Oscar Brewer realies that the panic attacks and horror flashbacks he's suffering from might, in fact, be a sign that he's not actually OK, at least not yet. Gradually, though, with the help of the new girl Pippa, who Oscar ends up falling for, and eventually, his mum, Oscar finds strength in himself and those around him. And as he allows himself to remember, he also begins to forgive.

[Warning: Sexual Content] "I wondered if there would ever be a point when we didn't hesitate, or when my heart didn't pound so hard against my ribs when he undressed me. As much as I wanted it to feel more natural, I didn't want to lose how lightheaded and giddy it made me feel." ~ After a severe and somber encounter with his mother, Albion Bryson's life seems to be turned upside down. A serious head injury causes his father to turn for help to Doctor Grace Reynolds. Hearing about Albion's condition and change of attitude, Grace convinces her oldest daughter, Dawn Reynolds, to help and socialize with him after hearing they shared classes at school. Dawn, later, becomes a significant person in his life. As time passes, the two become inseparable as Albion continues with his life despite the way he thinks of himself.
